Descriptions:

  • Assist in preparing the operations and maintenance reports
  • Maintain and monitor the database on substation/line faults, repair

    and other operational data.

  • Assist in formulation of a strategy for maintenance of distribution network to ensure that objectives of reliability and continuity of supply are met.
  • Assists in supervising the line staff during the maintenance of all lines and Substation within the Undertaking
  • Ensure that all faults and complaints are resolved adhering to safety and quality compliance
  • Attend to faults on HT/LT lines and substations, take corrective action to resolve them and ensure, where possible, that they are not repeated in sub stations
  • Comply with Quality Management System / Occupational Health & Safety requirements including objectives and applicable regulations relating to assigned jobs
  • Carrying out all other functions as designated in line with achieving the departmental objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

World Health Organisation Job for NPO – Routine Immunization

Job Description:

  • Provide technical support for polio eradication
  • Provide technical support in planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of other supplemental immunization activities (e.g. measles, MNT etc.) to improve quality
  • Provide technical support in planning, implementation, and monitoring of routine immunization activities to increase coverage
  • Provide technical support in planning and monitoring of integrated disease surveillance and response activities.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in health-related field or social sciences
  • Postgraduate degree in Public Health preferably in epidemiology or other related public health fields
  • At least five years relevant experience including field experience in communication and community engagement and advocacy
  •  Experience in public health especially in immunization activities

Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual’s background and duties may include but are not limited to:

Qualifications

To qualify for an internship with the UN Internship programme, applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

-Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or
-Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent); or
-Have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one year period of graduation from an academic programme.

Applicants who are unable to commence the internship within one year of graduation shall not be accepted. The University degree must be in the area of communication, journalism, international relations, public administration or in a related field.

Labcitoyen Application for Human Right Activists- 2018

Labcitoyen is looking for a young Nigerian who demonstrates a commitment to human rights and freedom through associations, politics, humanitarian means, civic associations or unions.

LabCitoyen is a programme dedicated to major issues relating to human rights. In France, it calls on about 50 young committed citizens of ages 20 to 26, those who speak and are learning the French language, to receive training on such issues through a series of lectures and discussions.

For about ten days, participants from five continents will come together to give thought to major themes for an exchange of ideas at the international level. On topics such as digital stakes, discrimination, environmental conservation and healthcare rights, LabCitoyen endeavours to deal with the major issues of our time while promoting the French language as a tool for both discussion and action.

 

The LabCitoyen 2018 project is about Human rights and education. It is open to all young Nigerians between the ages of 20 to 26, with a minimum of B1 level in French.

The candidates must apply before the February 28th, they will have to present their projects, commitments, and motivations in front of a jury at the Institut français du Nigeria.

The young Nigerian who will be selected by the Instiut français du Nigeria will benefit to an all-expense trip to Paris for 8 days in July 2018 paid by the Embassy of France in Nigeria in order to participate into this programme.

Monitoring And Evaluation Vacancy At Association for Reproductive and Family Health

Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (TB)
Location: Abuja
Duration: Eighteen months (renewable)

The M & E officer reports to the Program Coordinator (TB) and the Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator.

Specific responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and oversight on monitoring and evaluation of the TB project
• Ensure that the implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities are in line with the project’s implementation plan and meets the donor and project’s M&E needs.
• Provide technical support to state officers in ensuring that programmatic data/indicators are accurately captured, and reported according to set guidelines.
• Represent and make appropriate presentations to stakeholders at various fora on program achievements and deliverables and other M&E activities
• Support the development and design of the M&E framework, tools and project M&E plans, guidelines and ensure efficient data management processes
• Provide continuous technical lead to project team on data management and regularly analyze state data, highlight important programmatic gaps and coordinate with program management and others in addressing these gaps.
• Conduct routine monitoring and supportive supervisory visits to project sites, including the conduct of data verification and validation and data quality assessments (DQAs) using standard checklists
• Ensure regular maintenance of database/information system, project’s training database and programmatic progress updates that documents achievements on a regular basis.
• Support monitoring activities to project sites, collation/analysis of monitoring reports for program feedback and decision making
• Conduct operational research activities and participate in project assessments, evaluations and design teams as applicable.
• Facilitate the preparation/production of project reports, journal publications, proposal writing and assessment reports, human success stories and quarterly fact sheets.
• Provide technical support to the project, NTBLCP and other Government of Nigeria entities in the conduct of surveys for TB programs, including development of survey instruments, survey implementation, data analysis and report writing under the guidance of the M&E coordinator.

Qualifications:
Applicants must have a University degree in any of the following related field: Medicine, Pharmacy, Statistics, Demography and Public Health. A master’s degree in public health will be an added advantage. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Monitoring and Evaluation in HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria or related fields and programs in developing countries: and working experience with Global Fund, USAID or any other donor funded programs is desirable. Applicant’s experience must reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above.
