TÜRKİYE Scholarship for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Turkey

Deadline: 5 March 2018

Eligibility:

  • Applicants who apply to Türkiye Scholarships must be a graduate or able to graduate at the end of the current academic year
  • Candidates have to meet the criteria of the university and department which they choose. If it is requested by the university or department, candidates must submit the necessary documents such as the scores of SAT, TOEFL, DELF, YDS, etc. Applications of candidates who do not submit the required documents will not be evaluated.
  • Candidates must not be older than 21 years of age for undergraduate degree, 30 years of age for master’s degree and 35 years of age for doctoral degree
  • The list of countries open for undergraduate and postgraduate applications in the second round are as follows:

Afghanistan, Albania, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Belgium, Burundi, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Iceland, Ireland, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau (SAR), Malta, Micronesia, Moldova, Monaco, Myanmar, Nepal, Norway, Pakistan, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, San Marino, South Sudan, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, United States, Ukraine, and Vietnam.

  • The list of countries open only for postgraduate applications in the second round are as follows:

Application :

Application can only be made online through www.turkiyeburslari.gov.tr. Candidates are required to submit/upload all the required information and/or documents through the application system.

Applications made by post, courier or by hand will not be accepted.

UN Habitat III West and Central Africa Working Group: Call for National Coordinators

Deadline:1st March, 2018

The vision of the UN Major Group for Children and Youth (UN MGCY) is:
To advance the participation of young people at all levels of governance: locally, nationally, regionally and globally. The UN MGCY seeks to promote the positions of children and youth in policy processes around a number of areas, especially in the protection of the environment, sustainable development, and the promotion of economic and social development.

Focus:
To ensure that the interests of children and youth are taken into account in planning and decision making processes and that youth, in particular, participate meaningfully; and facilitate the representation and participation of children and youth in the process during, leading up to, and after the Habitat III conference.

Habitat III Working Group aims to ensure that the interests and input of children and youth are taken into account while designing and implementing the ‘New Urban Agenda’.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants MUST be a National and resident in one of these West and Central Africa Countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Island of Saint Helena, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Sao Tome & Principe
  • Demonstrate a clear commitment to SDG 11 and the New Urban Agenda.
